Red Gap & History

Red Gap Masterworks is named for the historic property Scott and his family have called home since 2006 - Red Gap Farm. The Drumm’s are just the most recent in a long line of entrepreneurial families to call the property home, however. Since it’s construction in 1751, the farm has seen horse farmers, church goers, and even a pioneering businessman who played a role in the foundation of Massachusetts tax law. The farm is still an active homestead where the Drumm’s raise chickens, goats, horses, and bees as well as the usual crop of seasonal fruits and veggies. In addition, Scott spends his free time maintaining and restoring Red Gap.

While the mountain around Red Gap have grown and developed in the last 300 years, the farm still stands as an example of what good construction principles can do.
